Abstract

Background: ACS is an emergency heart disease. ACS patients experience not only physical problems / illness but also psychological / anxiety and sleep quality problems. Objective: Determining anxiety and sleep quality in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). Methods: This study was obtained from 3 databases, namely Google Scholar, PUBMED and Researchgate in the period 2018-2020 assessed using Duffy's Research Appraisal Checklist Approach. There were 10 articles in the Superior Paper category with an average score of 205-306. Results: The anxiety levels of ACS patients were mild, moderate to severe with different values at each level. Anxiety allows complications. Psychiatric co-morbidity (anxiety) shows a higher rate in women than in men. In addition, anxiety also shows a high rate in patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries. Sleep quality in ACS patients shows poor sleep quality, associated with pulse, respiration, MAP and also VT. Conclusion: Anxiety in ACS patients at mild, moderate to severe levels. Anxiety allows complications. Psychiatric co-morbidity (anxiety) is higher in women than in men. Anxiety also shows high rates in patients with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries and poor sleep quality associated with heart attack, pulse, respiration, MAP and VT. Recommendation: For the information and additional references about anxiety and sleep quality in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS).
