Abstract

Background: Hypertension is one of the most common causes of blood pressure fluctuations. Blood pressure instability in people with hypertension is accelerated by several factors, including age, sleep quality, stress, antihypertensive drugs, salt consumption, obesity, activity and smoking. Objective: To determine the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in Prolanic patients at UPTD Punggelan community health center 1 of Banjarnegara Regency. Research Method: Observation research, study analysis with Cross Sectional design. The sample of this study was people who were Prolanic patients at UPTD Punggelan community health center 1 of Banjarnegara Regency who were diagnosed with hypertension with a total of 52 people with total sampling techniques. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data analysis uses spearman-rank analysis. Results: Factors related to the incidence of hypertension in Prolanic patients at UPTD Punggelan community health center 1 of Banjarnegara Regency, more than half of respondents had an advanced age category (41-60 years old) (51.9%), female (61.5%) , not obese (53.8%), regularly taking antihypertensive drugs (51.9%), have a family history of hypertension (59.6%), have moderate stress levels (63.5%) and do not smoke (61.5% ). More than half of respondents had blood pressure in the category of hypertension I (53.8%). Conclusion: There is a relationship between age, obesity, drug use, heredity, stress and smoking habits with the incidence of hypertension in Prolanic patients at UPTD Punggelan community health center 1 of Banjarnegara Regency.
