Abstract
Background: Knowledge of basic life support is the knowledge of giving emergency airway management, fracture, dislocation, bleeding, prior totreatmentgivenbydoctor or other medical professional. Readiness to help is every action having more profitable for othersrather than self . Objective: To reveal correlation between basic life supportknowledge and the readiness to help of students red cross teenat State Madrasah Aliyahof Purworejo Methods: This study wascorrelational study.There were 40 respondents taken by total sampling technique. Data was analyzed by Chi Square test with pvalue<0,05 to determine the correlations between two variables Results: There were75% of respondents who had good knowledge category, 20%mediocre category, and 5% less category. There were 50% of respondents who had good readiness to help, 35% mediocre, and 15% less category. The result of Chi Squaretestindicatedthat p value =0,001(<0,05)meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was received.There was correlation between basic life supportknowledge and the readiness to help of students red cross teenat State Madrasah Aliyah of Purworejo. Conclusion:There was correlation between basic life supportknowledge and the readiness to help of students red cross teenat State Madrasah Aliyah of Purworejo
