Abstract

Background: Hospitals must maintain the quality of pharmacy services provided because they have a significant impact on patient satisfaction and the implementation must be in accordance with Minister of Health Regulations No. 72 of 2016. The quality of pharmacy services in hospitals is measured based on 4 dimensions, including the dimensions of infrastructure, IEC, speed of service, and hospitality of officers. The percentage of patient satisfaction based on standard indicators of pharmaceutical services at the hospital of Decree of the Minister of Health No. 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008 is 80%. Because research conducted at the Klungkung Hospital showed unsatisfactory results, it is necessary to conduct research in a different location, which is at Dr. Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen. Purpose: To determine the level of outpatient satisfaction and the relationship between patient demographics and outpatient satisfaction with pharmacy services at Dr. Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen. Research method: Using an observational design with a quantitative approach prospectively. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Samples taken were 100 respondents with an accidental sampling technique. The data analysis technique used SPSS statistics. Result, The level of patient satisfaction from the highest to the lowest was indicated by the hospitality dimensions of the staff with a category of satisfied of 98%, IEC dimension 88.5%, infrastructure dimension of 86.5%, and service speed dimension of 52.3%. Factors related to patient satisfaction were gender (p<0.05) and education (p<0.05), while unrelated factors were age (p>0.05) and occupation (p>0.05). Conclusion: The level of outpatient satisfaction with pharmacy services at Dr. Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen is 81.3%, indicating a category of very satisfactory and in accordance with the standard. There is a relationship between gender and patient education with outpatient satisfaction with pharmacy services at Dr. Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen. Recommendation: Further analysis needs to be conducted to determine other factors that can relate to the level of patient satisfaction at Dr. Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen
