Abstract

Background : Medicinal plants have long been used by the community as traditional medicines that are carried out from generation to generation. Ethnobotany studies can be used as a parameter to perpetuate public knowledge in using plants as medicine. Purpose : Understanding the types of medicinal plants used and how to use them by the community. Method : This study uses a snowball sampling method with semi-structured interviews. The respondents were 100 people from 5 villages ; Arjowinangun, Ayam putih, Brecong, Indrosari, and Waluyo. Results : Based on the results of the study, it is known that there are 90 types of plants used as medicine consisting of 44 plant families. The most widely used medicinal plants are from the Zingiberaceae family 15.6%, the most widely used plant parts are 41.4% leaves, 31.1% herb habitus, the most common processing method is boiling 50.0% and the method of use by drunk 57.8%. Conclusion : There are 90 types of medicinal plants used by the community consisting of 44 plant families. Zingiberacea is the most widely used plant family. The most widely used part of the plant is the leaves. Herb habitus is the most widely used habitus. The most processing method is boiled and the most used method is drinking Suggestion : It is expected that this research can be used as the reference for the next research about the study ethnobotany plant efficacious medicine
