Abstract
Background: Non Haemorrhagic Stroke is a type of syndrome consisting of focal or global central nervous system loss of function symptoms growing fast. These symptoms occur more than 24 hours leading to death. Immobility may result in both psychological and physical problem. Objective: to describe nursing care of fulfilling activity and rest needs to Mr. S in Dahlia Ward, Dr. Soedirman Hospital of Kebumen. Nursing care: nursing care of Mr. M performed for 3 days starting on 9 June - 11 June 2016, the patient's family said that the patient feel headache, fatigue, have a history of hypertension since one year ago. The main nursing problem was risk of ineffective brain tissue perfusion associated with hypertension. Intervention and implementation has been done were relaxation and distraction techniques, encourage the patient to take ore rest and sleep, giving the medicine as order. The evaluation showed that the patient was able to know about distraction and relaxation techniques to reduce headache. Treatment Analysis: It is recommended to use distraction and relaxation techniques to facilitate the needs of the activity and rest influencing blood pressure intensity.
