Abstract

Background: According to Triwidyantari (2021) giving birth (delivery) is an important moment of a mother. About 90% mothers undergo perineum rupture during normal delivery process with or without episiotomy. The effect of this rupture mostly can be complicated, physiologically and phsycologically traumatic, such as bleeding, infection, scar tissue, and death. Therefore, the application of Kegel exercise and half-sit pushing position is very important to prevent perineum rupture. Objective: Knowing the application of the combination of Kegel exercise and halsit pushing position to prevent the spontant perineum rupture. Method: This paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data was obtained from observation sheet and SOP. The participants were 3 pregnant mothers in their trimester pregnancy. Result: After having the application of Kegel exercise and half-sit pushing position, all participants did not have perineum rupture. Conclusion: The application of Kegel exercise and hal-sit pushing position can prevent the perineum rupture.
