Abstract

Background: HIV/AIDS is one of the risks of various reproductive health problems. Based on data of Indonesia Health Profile (2019), HIV and AIDS transmission is still found at adolescents in the age of 15 to 19 years of which the HIV incidence is 2.9% and AIDS is by 2.9%. This shows that the possibility of transmission can occur during adolescence. One of the factors influencing the occurrence is the poor knowledge about HIV/AIDS. Therefore, the writer is interested in conducting adolescent reproductive health education about HIV/AIDS by using web-based interactive educational media to improve their knowledge. Objective: This study aims at knowing the effect of web-based interactive educational media on the knowledge level of adolescents about HIV/AIDS. Method: This scientific paper is a qualitative descriptive with a case-study design. Data was obtained from the questionnaire scores. The respondents were 6 teenagers in the age 15-16 years. The instruments were pre-test and post-test questionnaire sheets. Result: After having health education about HIV/AIDS by web-based educational media, there is an improvement in the knowledge level of all respondents in good category about HIV/AIDS. Conclusion: Web-based interactive educational media can help adolescences improve their knowledge level about HIV/AIDS.
