Abstract
Background : Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a Degradative disease with and increasing number of Patients. Characterrized by heperglycemia caused by decreased Insulin secretion and Insulin performance. Ineffective management of Diabetes Mellitus can lead to Complications, such as Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAP). One of the tests that can be done to determine the condition of the blood circulation in the legs, whether they are disturbed is by measuring the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) and Capillary Refill Time (CRT) values. One of the prevention so that complications do not occur is by doing Foot exercise. Objective: To describe the application of Diabetic foot Exercises, to improve blood circulation in the feet and prevent the risk of foot ulcers among diabetic patients. Methods: The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a case study approach. The Subjects of this Case study were 3 Patients with type 1 and type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Data analysis and data presentation used is in the form of a narrative Results: The application of Diabetic foot exercise to improve blood circulation in the legs. Before the application of foot exercises showed blood circulation in 3 patients with ABI value < 0.90 experiencing mild obstruction, CRT > 3 seconds with complaints of tingling feet and feeling cold. After the application of foot exercises during 3 times visit, with a duration of 45 minutes, showed normal blood circulation results with the patient's ABI value > 0.90, CRT increased, with reduced complaints of tingling sensation and warmer feet. Recommendation: The application of diabetic foot exercises to improve blood circulation and prevent the risk of foot ulcers.
