Abstract

Background: High blood pressure is a chronic increase in arterial blood vessel contraction causing the heart to work harder to pump blood. If the blood pressure is > 140/90 mmHg it is declared hypertension. Health problems with hypertension have a serious impact and can be detrimental because they can cause hypertension. various complications and death. To overcome this condition, the application of white ginger decoction is carried out which can lower blood pressure and the ingredients can also be obtained easily. Objectives: Describing the application of white ginger decoction to reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Research Methods: This method used descriptive method, data collection using interview techniques. Respondents in this study were clients who suffered from hypertension aged 50-80 years. The action taken was by giving the application of giving white ginger stew with a sample of three respondents measured by checking their blood pressure before giving white ginger boiled drink Case Study Results: After providing education on the administration of White Ginger Decoction for 5 days, it was found that the results of a decrease in blood pressure from the three respondents experienced a decrease in blood pressure, systolic blood pressure decreased by 4-9mmHg and diastolic blood pressure decreased by 3-5 mmHg. Conclusion: After applying to the three respondents by providing education on drinking white ginger stew, it was found that there was a decrease in blood pressure by applying white ginger decoction.
