Abstract
Background: Gout is an inflammatory disease of the joints that occurs in someone who has excessive levels of uric acid in the blood, one of the symptoms that often appears is pain, pain in gout patients if not treated immediately can cause complications, which can eventually hinder healing, treatment One of the things that can be done to deal with pain is ergonomic exercise therapy, this therapy is an exercise that does not expend a lot of energy but has benefits for the body so that it allows the body to feel changes in the pain response. Research Objectives : Describing the effect of giving ergonomic exercise therapy to reduce pain intensity in patients with Gout Arthritis. Method : This method used - descriptive analytic with a case study approach with 3 gout pain patients who were given nursing care for 4 days. The instruments are Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for ergonomic exercise therapy, pain scale observation sheets. Results: Interventions and implementations that need to be done to deal with pain are massage, warm compresses, distraction, one of which is ergonomic exercise therapy, after therapy, there is a decrease in pain intensity or scale. Recommendation: Ergonomic exercise therapy is used for patients who experience gouty arthritis pain and can be done at home or in the community.
