Abstract
Background: Gastroenteritis is an increase of dilution and stool frequency in large or less volume due to some dissolved substances cannot be absorbed in feces, It is characterized by vomiting due to the inflammatory process in the stomach or intestines resulting in weakness and fatigue that trigger personal Hygiene problem of the patient. Objective: to describe nursing care of fulfilling personal hygiene need to Miss N in Dahlia Ward Dr Soedirman Kebumen of Hospital. Nursing care: Nursing care was conducted for two days starting on 10 June-11 June 2016. The patient said that during at the hospital he was just wiped by the family for bathing without shampooing and brushing teeth. Patient’s hair look dirty and smell bad, Her teeth look yellow and dirty. The intervention and implementation were encouraging the patient to take rest and sleep, performing oral hygiene. encouraging the family to maintain the cleanliness of the patient’s body. The evaluation was conducted for two days showed that the patient said that after getting oral hygiene she felt cleaner and more comfortable. Therefore the nursing diagnosis has been resolved. Treatment Analysis: Tooth brushing using herbal toothpaste and good level of oral hygine is effective to decline in the index of tooth plaque.
