Abstract
Background: Treatment of Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) can be done in various ways including the diet. Diet is very important factor in the management of CRF patients undergoing hemodialysis. Some recommended dietary sources such as carbohydrates, protein, calcium, vitamins and minerals, fluids and fat. Noncompliance diet in patients with chronic renal failure by several factors such as knowledge, attitude, family support and involvement of health personnel. Objective: To determine factors affecting dietary noncompliance of Chronic Renal Failure patients in Hemodialysis Room, KRT Setjonegoro Hospitals of Wonosobo. Methods: This study used a correlation method with cross sectional approach. Sample of 64 patients with chronic renal failure who were taken using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and the correlation was using chi square and continued with logistic regression. Results: There were significant correlation between knowledge, attitude, family support and dietary noncompliance of chronic renal failure patients. There was no significant correlation between the involvement of health professionals and dietary noncompliance of chronic renal failure patients. Family support was the most factor affecting dietary noncompliance of chronic renal failure patients. Respondents who have good knowledge heighten the potential for compliance in hemodialysis diet
