Abstract
Background: Psychic disorder is a disturbance of mental function that can change the mental function. This will cause the sufferer to have obstacles in carrying out social roles and also will affect the function of his life. If not treated, it will harm the sufferer, family and others. To overcome this disorder, a conversation therapy is in need. Objective: Describing nursing care for impaired sensory perception of auditory hallucinations with speech therapy to reduce the intensity of hallucinations in the district of Ayah. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case-study approach. Data was collected from assessment and observation. The instruments used were nursing care format and observation sheet for signs and symptoms. Subjects were 3 clients (patients) with auditory hallucinations. Result: After having conversation therapy, there was a descrease in signs and symptoms of all clients: from 7 to 3 (client 1), from 7 to 5 (client 2), and 7 to 6 (client 3). Furthermore, there was an increase in having conversaion: client 1 and 3 have higher ability (score 4 or very good) and client 2 got score 3 or has good ability. Recomendation: Conversation therapy is suggestable to improve the quality of nursing care for anybody having impaired sensory perception of auditory hallucinations with speech therapy.
