Abstract

Background: Diseases caused by the corona virus are currently a world health problem in the spotlight. The main transmission of this virus has occurred from human to human so the spread of this virus is very fast. The spread of this disease occurs in fluids released by covid-19 patients when they cough and sneeze. Governance that must be applied by all communities in various environments is to use masks, keep a distance of at least 2 meters, actively wash hands using soap in running water. Objective: This research was to identify public knowledge about the implementation of health protocols during the covid-19 pandemic in Karangrau village of Banyumas District. Methodology: The research used descriptive quantitative using the cross sectional time method. The characteristics of respondents were mostly aged 31-40 years and female. The number of respondents were 361 respondents. Results: A total of 125 respondents (35%) have knowledge of the application of health protocols with good categories, as many as 175 people (45%) have knowledge with moderate categories and the remaining 71 respondents 20% have knowledge with less categories. Conclusion: The knowledge of the people of Karangrau Village of Banyumas District mostly shows a moderate category to the knowledge of the application of health protocols. Recommendation: Make policies related to the implementation of health protocols in the local environment, and increase the target program areas, so that more people are reached.
