Abstract
Background: Early mobilization of patients on mechanical ventilators is an act of movement in patients with or without the help of nurses. Mobilization actions are often carried out and carried out by nurses in all intensive care rooms to ordinary care. The early mobilization action taken will depend on the knowledge and attitude of the nurse. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nurses on early mobilization of patients who are attached to mechanical ventilators in the Intensive Care Room PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital and Dr. Soedirman Kebumen Hospital. Methods: This study uses a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was nurses who served in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) PKU MuhammadiyahGombong Hospital and the ICU and ICCU at Dr. RSUD. Sudirman. The number of research respondents was 37 people who were taken using total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Results: The level of knowledge of nurses is known to be 84% quite good and 16% not good. The attitude of nurses who support early mobilization consists of 81% and 19% do not support. Early mobilization that is done well by 65% and 35% tends to be lacking. There is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nurses towards early mobilization of patients. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes of nurses with early mobilization of patients on mechanical ventilators. Recommendation: Future researchers to be able to add questions about early mobilization and follow the course of the research process.
