Abstract

Background: Hemodialysis should be conducted on patients with chronic kidney disease every week at least two times a week to increase patients’ quality of life. Purpose: to know the relationship between genre, age and quality of life among patients with chronic kidney disease who undergoing hemodialysis Method: This study was a quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The respondents of this study were 64 respondents who were undergoing hemodialysis in Kebumen Regional Public Hospital dr. Soedirman. They were recruited by purposive sampling technique. The Chi-Square test was applied for bivariate analysis. Result: There was a relationship between sex and quality of life and also a significant relationship among age and quality of life. Conclusion: There was a relationship between genre, age, and patient’s quality of life who undergoing hemodialysis. Recommendation: Need more explore the influence factors of CKD patients such as dialysis treatment duration, chronic kidney disease stadium, and therapeutic management.
