Abstract

Background: Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition of systolic blood pressure 140mmHg and diastolic blood pressure 90mmHg. Not all people with hypertension can recognize or feel discomfort or pain symptoms, so hypertension is often referred to as the silent killer. Objective: To explain the effect of rose water foot soak therapy on blood pressure of hypertensive patients in Sridadi Village, Sirampog District, Brebes Regency. Methods: This research is a quantitative study using quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design for 42 respondents with hypertension in Sridadi village. The statistical test used is a non-perametric Wilcoxone test. Results: The results of the Wilcoxone test statistical showed p-value = 0.000 where the p value <0.05 meaning that Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of soaking the feet of rose water on reducing blood pressure of patients with hypertension. Conclusion: There is an significant effect of soaking the feet of rose water on reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Recommendations: Future research is expected to be able to develop this research with a wider scope and combine this therapy with others.
