Abstract
Background: Cervical cancer case are only about 5% of the total that can be detected in the early stages, where awareness of early detection of cervical cancer is still low, though detection as early as possible is very important to detect the presence of cervical cancer in women. Delay in diagnosis is what cause the death rate of cervical cancer sufferers is getting higher. Objective: Knowing the effectiveness of cervical cancer health education through whatsapp group the knowledge and motivation of IVA WUS during the pandemic in Giwangretno Village. Method: This type of research was quasi experimental study with pre-test and post-test with desaign group control. The sampled were 86 respondents who were divided into two groups, namely the intervention group and the control group. Sampled were taken by cluster sampling then purposive sampling. Data analysis included univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with wilcoxon and mann whitney tests. Result: Wilcoxon test result of knowledge in the intervention group obtained values (p = 0.000) and value control (p = 0.000). While the result of the wilcoxon motivation test in the intervention group obtained value (p = 0.000) and control (p = 0.000). Mann Whitney test result obtained value (p=0.000) and motivation (p=0.007). Conclusion: There was the influence of cervical cancer health education through whatsapp group on the knowledge and motivation of IVA WUS examination in Giwangretno Village. Recommendation: Health agencies are able to improve health promotion about early detection of cervical cancer with IVA examination using social media.
