Abstract

Background: The background of this study is the presence of a phenomenon in early 2020 called Corona virus or better known as Covid-19. which is a new type of virus that infects the respiratory system. And there are still increasing cases to date that result in psychological changes in both society and health workers. Objective: The purpose of this study is to find out the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the psychological changes of nurses in the Covid-19 Referral Hospital in Kebumen Regency. Method : The method of this research is quantitative with the study of crossectional approach. With a sample of 104 nurses taken using total sampling techniques. Instruments used to collect data were a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis technique. Results of the study: The results of this study are that most respondents in IGD experienced psychological changes in the form of mild stress levels of 24 people (66.7%), mild anxiety level 11 people (30.6%), and depression at the normal level of 33 people (91.7%). And most of the respondents in the isolation room experienced psychological changes in the form of mild stress levels of 32 people (47.1%), mild anxiety levels of 17 people (25.0%), and depression normal levels of 63 people (92.6%). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that most of the nurses at the Covid-10 Referral Hospital in Kebumen district experience psychological changes in the form of stress, anxiety, and depression. Recommendations: Researchers are further expected to deepen this study by analyzing social demographics that affect psychological conditions, as well as comparing psychological changes between nurses in IGD and in isolation room
