Abstract
Background: Acute respiratory infections are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases in the world. Therefore, if the child/infant is already showing symptoms of ARI, it must be treated immediately so that it does not become severe which can cause respiratory failure or even death. Research Objectives: Explaining the analysis of nursing care in children with ARI through the application of eucalyptus oil aromatherapy with hot water steam in ARI patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: The type of research was a case study with 5 patients with pediatric ARI patients. This study focused on nursing care with eucalyptus oil aromatherapy with hot water to increase the effectiveness of airway clearance in pediatric ARI patients. The presentation of the data carried out in research writing used the presentation in the form of narration and tables. Documentation was presented by nursing care form to draw conclusions based on subjective and objective data. The results of the study: There was a decrease in symptoms of ineffective airway clearance before and after the innovation of applying eucalyptus oil aromatherapy in hot water steam, marked by improving effective cough, reduced sputum production, disappeared wheezing, no wheezing and dyspnea, no pain in speech, and no restlessness. again. Conclusion: The application of eucalyptus oil aromatherapy in hot water steam can overcome ineffective airway clearance
