Abstract

Background, Pain is a feeling that occurs due to the body's defense mechanism that causes the individual to react to move the painful stimulus when the tissue is damaged. Pain can be found in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) ulcers. Due to an infection that attacks the subcutaneous tissue, it results in injury to the feet, this has often happened in diabetic ulcer patients, the healing process is long and the risk factor for infection is getting higher if good and correct care is not taken to prevent the spread of infection to the feet. the other network finally the action taken is amputation. Objective, Describing the cases of acute pain in post surgery of diabetic ulcer patients with the using patient nursing care. Method, This method descriptively describe acute pain nursing care with nonpharmacological therapy giving lavender aromatherapy. The research sample was 5 respondents, the research instrument. The results of the study, Nursing diagnoses of acute pain related to physical pain agents (eg surgical procedures), implementation of giving lavender aromatherapy by inhalation 2 hours before giving analgesics for 3 days, evaluation after 3 x 24 hours of action there was a decrease in pain scale in patients. Recommendations, For applying lavender aromatherapy.
