Abstract
Background: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a physiological condition when the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the body's metabolic needs which cause several clinical symptoms felt by clients, some of which are dyspnea, orthopnea, paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (PND) shortness of breath at night. day. The most effective position for clients with congestive heart failure is the semi-Fowler's position with an inclination of 45°. Objective: to explaining the application of semi-Fowler's nursing care to patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) with decreased cardiac output in the emergency department of dr. Sudirman Kebumen. Methods: The research method was descriptive with a case study approach. The case study subjects to be studied were 5 patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) with decreased cardiac output. The tools in this study were the nursing care format, the Nursing Kit, the observation sheet for signs of decreased cardiac output and the SOP for the semi-Fowler position. Presentation of data that the author does by drawing conclusions based on subjective and objective data, which is presented in the documentation method and nursing care resume Results: The results of the study showed a decrease in cardiac output symptoms after nursing actions were applied to the application of the 45° semi fowler position. Patients I, II, III, IV, and V experienced a decrease in cardiac output symptoms from a scale of 2 (increased moderately) to a scale of 4 (moderately decreased). Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of SOPs for the management of decreased cardiac output using a 45° semi semi-Fowler position
