Abstract
Background: Myocardial infarction is the leading cause of death and disability worldwide, every year an estimated 785 thousand people in the United States experience myocardial infarction and about 470 thousand people will experience repeated relapses, every 25 seconds it is estimated that 1 American dies due to myocardial infarction (AHA, 2019). In Indonesia, it is 0.5%, and based on a doctor's diagnosis or symptoms it is 1.5 percent. Acute pain in STEMI occurs due to an increase in the workload of the heart and a decrease in blood flow that causes myocardial tissue ischemia. Murottal Al-Qur'an is able to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system which has an opposite effect on the sympathetic nervous system. So that there is a balance in the two autonomic nervous systems. Objectives: Explaining the descriptife mhetode with the study approach of critical nursing care in the application of distraction techniques Si listens to murrotal al-qur'an surah arrahman on a St. Elevation Miocard Infarct (stemi) patient with acute pain in the ICCU room at PROF Hospital. Dr. Margonno Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: With case study approach. Case study on 5 STEMI patients with acute pain in the ICCU room at PROF Hospital. Dr. Margonno Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital. Results of nursing care: The results of the five patients obtained data after 15 minutes of murottal al-Qur'an therapy in Surah Ar-Rahman for 3 consecutive days showed a decrease in the pain scale of 1-2 per day. Where all patients found on the first day experienced moderate pain to mild pain on the third day. Recommendation: The results of this study can be used as a reference for data to conduct more specific research related to the comprehensive management of heart patients.
