Abstract

Background: A fracture is a loss of continuity in the bone so that it can cause pain in the mechanics of the bone. Fractures usually contain damaged tissue in the soft tissues, blood vessels, muscles and other tissues. Objective: Explaining the analysis of nursing care in post-orif femoral fracture patients by giving cold compresses to reduce acute pain in the Seruni room, Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto Hospital. Method: This scientific paper used a case study approach with descriptive method. The nursing analysis used is the provision of interventions using a cool pack. Results: The nursing problem taken by the author is a decrease in pain intensity in postorif femoral fracture patients after nursing actions with the intervention of giving cold compresses are proven to be effective in reducing pain. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care analysis are expected to be a reference for the preparation of SOP in order to reduce the acute pain scale in post-orif femoral fracture patients.
