Abstract
Background: Stroke is a physical disorder that arises suddenly due to blood circulation in the brain, local nervous disorders occur suddenly, last for less than 24 hours due to cerebral blood circulation disorders (Utaminingsih, 2015). One form of exercise in the rehabilitation process that is considered effective enough to prevent disability in stroke patients is Range Of Motion (ROM) exercise and occupational therapy of combing hair (PERDOSRI, 2016). Objective: Describing nursing care for applying an active range of motion and occupational therapy to comb hair in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with impaired physical mobility in the Kemuning Room, Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto. Methods: This study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach, nursing care format, nursing kit, Medical Research Council Scale. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation studies. Subjects consisted of 5 adult clients who had a non-hemorrhagic stroke with nursing problems with physical mobility disorders. Results: The results of the assessment carried out on non-hemorrhagic stroke clients obtained data on the main complaint, namely physical weakness in the limbs. Priority nursing diagnoses for non-hemorrhagic stroke clients are impaired physical mobility. The nursing intervention carried out is mobilization support. The nursing implementation was carried out for 3 days, namely ROM and occupational therapy combing hair. The nursing evaluation that was obtained showed that the nursing problem with physical mobility disorders was resolved with indications of patient I-V saying that the weakness of the limbs had slightly improved. Recommendation: It is hoped that the Active Range Of Motion and Occupational Therapy of Hair Combing can be used as SOPs for the non-pharmacological management of physical mobility disorders in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients.
