Abstract
Background: A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. Brain tissue that experiences this case will be dead and cannot function normally. Sometimes a stroke is also called a CVA (cerebrovascular accident), be caused by a problematic heart blood vessel, heart disease, or simultaneously. Objectives: to analyze of the AIUEO and Melodic Intonation Teraphy (MIT) exercise as nursing care to non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. Nursing Results : The results of the nursing evaluation in 5 patients, showed that from the second meeting the patients experienced an increase in administering AIUEO and Melodic Intonation Teraphy (MIT) for 3 days from patients 1 obtained the value E:4 P:3 I:2, from patient 2 obtained E:3 P:4 I:3, from patient 3 got E:5 P:6 I:4, from patient 4 got E:3 P:4 I:2, and patient 5 got E:5 P:6 I:4 . Conclusion: it can be concluded that the administrasion of AIUEO and Melodic Intonation Teraphy (MIT) is more effective for stroke patiens who have speech disorders. Recommendations: further study is expected to apply others nursing complementary to give a nursing care for non-hemorrhagic stroke patients.
