Abstract

Background: The process of hemodialysis in hospitals, especially in patients with HD initiation can trigger neurological disorders such as the emergence of anxiety and psychological stress, weakness, disorientation, tremor, pain in the soles of the feet, weakness in the arms and changes in behavior level. After being given the standard of nursing care with general therapeutic measures and dhikr therapy, it can help reduce the anxiety experienced by initiation HD patients. Objective: To analyze nursing care for patients with hemodialysis initiation with anxiety problems through dhikr relaxation therapy at PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Methods: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. In 5 patients who experienced anxiety by giving general therapeutic measures and dhikr therapy given for 2 days with the time of giving in the morning and evening for ±25 minutes in each meeting, the data were analyzed by analytical descriptive. Results: From 5 nursing care patients who were measured using the HADS instrument, it was found that patients who experienced mild anxiety were the 4th patient with a score of 9 to 7 and those who experienced severe anxiety were the 5th patient with a score of 16 to 9. Conclusion: The process of providing therapy for the five patients with anxiety levels from anxiety scores and increasing their ability to do dhiki therapy
