Abstract
Background : Extremity fractures surgery on a person can cause problems, such as acute postoperative pain. Nursing actions that can be carried out by nurses independently are deep breathing therapy and five-finger hypnosis. Objective : Describe the results of the analysis of nursing care for postoperative extremity patients with acute pain problems at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Methods : This scientific uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The case study instrument uses a nursing care format, deep breathing SOP, five-finger hypnosis SOP and pain assessment observation sheet. Data were obtained from interviews, physical examinations and documentation. Subject consist of five postoperative extremity fracture patients with acute pain problems. Nursing Care Results : The result of the assessment in postoperative extremity fracture patients obtained the main complaint, namely pain in the postoperative area. Priority nursing diagnosis is acute x Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong pain related to physical injury. Nursing interventions carried out were pain management with deep breathing therapy and five finger hypnosis. The nursing implementation is pain management. : Comprehensive pain assessment (PQRST), teaches nonpharmacological techniques to reduce pain, namely deep breathing and five-finger hypnosis. Recommendation : It is hoped that deep breathing therapy and five-finger hypnosis can be used as a reference for intervention to reduce postoperative pain for extremity fractures.
