Abstract

Background: One of the basic human needs disorders that appear in Acute Myocardial Infarc (AMI) patients is acute pain associated with biological injury agents. Pain, especially in the chest area due to inadequate heart pumping due to blockage. The chest pain that is felt can radiate to the arms, shoulders, neck, jaw, even to the back to the epigastrium, causing discomfort. General Objective: To describe the analysis of the nursing care process in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) with acute pain nursing problems in the ICU room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methods: Actions taken to reduce pain levels in five patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) by providing foot and hand massage therapy once every time with a duration of 10-15 minutes for 5 consecutive days Nursing Care Outcomes: The five patients had a top priority nursing diagnosis, namely acute pain associated with biological injury agents. Interventions with the aim of reducing pain levels are based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standard (SLKI) and using pain management based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standard (SIKI). The actions given are pain management and providing foot and hand massage as non-pharmacological therapy. The nursing evaluation for the five patients was that the pain had not been resolved and there was a significant decrease in the level of pain with an average pain scale of 1 Recommendation: Foot and hand massage therapy is best given to patients with acute myocardial infarction as a complement to reduce the level of chest pain in order to reduce the use of the number of drugs and their side effects.
