Abstract
Background, Non-hemorrhagic stroke is a disease caused by a series of changes in the brain that must be treated immediately to prevent the death of that part of the brain. Non-hemorrhagic stroke is caused by blocked or stopped blood supply to the brain (Junaidi, 2011). A preliminary study at Panti Waluyo Hospital Purworejo found 10 non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with impaired physical mobility. Efforts to reduce physical mobilization disorders due to Non-Hemorrhagic Stroke by means of Muscle Strengthening Exercise Techniques, aimed at increasing muscle strength and preventing joint stiffness, (Gorman, 2012). The purpose of the study, was to explain nursing care in muscle strengthening exercise techniques to nursing problems with physical mobility disorders in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients in the Indraprasta ward of Panti Waluyo Hospital, Purworejo. The research method, descriptively, describes nursing care with muscle strengthening exercise techniques for impaired physical mobility. The research sample was 5 respondents, the research instrument was MMT observation sheet, the application of passive motion exercises was carried out with a repetition frequency of 5-8 times the movement, time 15-30 minutes, repetition 1 x 1 day. The results of the study, nursing diagnoses of physical mobility disorders related to neuromuscular disorders, innovative interventions for muscle strengthening exercise techniques, implementation of teaching patients passive motion exercises according to SOPs, evaluation after 5 x 24 hours of action there was an increase in the patient's muscle strength score.
