Abstract

Background :Abdominal colic is a disease that occurs due to disturbances in the flow of intestinal contents along the intestinal tract. Obstruction that occurs when there is a disturbance that causes a blockage in the contents of the intestine but the peristalsis is normal. Abdominal colic causes pain or pain in the abdomen that is intermittent and comes from the organs in the abdomen or abdomen, which is caused by infection in the abdominal organs. One of the nonpharmacological therapies that can be given to reduce abdominal pain in abdominal colic is by giving autogenic relaxation. Autogenic relaxation technique is relaxation that comes from oneself by using words or short sentences that can make the mind comfortable and calm. General purpose : Explaining nursing care for abdominal colic patients with the main nursing problem, namely acute pain by administering autogenic relaxation technique therapy to reduce pain at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital Nursing Care Results:The results of the application carried out to the five abdominal colic patients all experienced acute pain nursing problems and several interventions were carried out independently and collaboratively. One of the independent interventions given is the provision of autogenic relaxation therapy, after being given autogenic relaxation therapy the five patients experienced a significant decrease in pain scale. Recommendation : Future researchers are expected to be able to examine other relaxation methods that can reduce pain in abdominal colic patients.
