Abstract

Background: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a condition in which the blood supply in a part of the heart stops so that the heart muscle cells die. Deep Breathing Exercise (DBE) can be done to handle this case. It is an exercise to improve breathing and to reduce pain. Objective: Providing an overview of nursing care for acute myocardial infarction patients with acute pain. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data obtained from interviews, physical examinations and results of supporting examinations. The respondents are 2 patients with acute myocardial infarction. Result: After being treated by deep breathing exercise, there was a pain decline of the parients. Conclusion: Deep Breathing Exercise is an alternative to reduce pain acute myocardial infarction keys on a patient with a scale pain 1 to 7. Recommendation: Conducting deep breathing exercise therapy is recomemmended for acute myocardial infarction patients.
