Abstract

Background: Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that is a problem in the health sector and is often found in primary health services, namely puskesmas. Hypertension is an increase in systolic blood pressure of 140 mmHg and diastolic more than 90 mmHg on two measurements with an interval of 5 minutes in a state of sufficient rest/quiet. General Objectives: The general purpose of writing this Final Scientific Paper for Nurses is to describe the results of nursing care in hypertensive patients with anxiety nursing problems through benson relaxation in Sikanco Village. Results: Based on the study, it was found that the three patients complained of anxiety. The main diagnosis established is anxiety. Nursing interventions to diagnose anxiety with decreasing anxiety are to use a pleasant approach, clearly state expectations for patient behavior, understand the patient's perspective on stressful situations, do back/neck rubs, identify anxiety levels, teach Benson relaxation therapy. After being carried out for 3 days the final evaluation results in the three patients the problem was resolved. Recommendation: Researchers recommend applying Benson relaxation as a form of intervention option to reduce anxiety.
