Abstract

Background: Breast milk is a very important thing needed by babies, both in terms of nutrition and in the process of growth and development, it's just that the number of breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia is still below the WHO target which requires coverage of breast milk up to 70 percent. Data from the Kebumen Regency area reported that the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding for infants 0-6 in 2018 was 66.95%. Ineffective breastfeeding problems are often experienced by post-cesarean (SC) mothers. Interventions that can be given to post-SC mothers to facilitate milk production are by using the technique massage in the breast area or breast care combined with the marmet technique. Objective: To analyze nursing care on the problem of ineffective breastfeeding for post sectio caesarea mothers. Methods: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 5 post-SC mothers, who had problems with ineffective breastfeeding. Collecting data by using observation, interview and documentation study Results: Of the five patients experiencing the main nursing problem of ineffective breastfeeding related to the supply of breast milk, and the intervention carried out was Breastfeeding Status. From the evaluation results of the application of breast care combined with the marmet technique, the five clients experienced an increase in breast milk production marked by breast milk starting to come out the baby was not fussy and began to sleep soundly after every feeding, the baby seemed to be sleeping soundly, the milk seemed to be leaking, the milk production increased with a range of 40-70 cc Conclusion: The breast care technique combined with the marmet technique greatly affects the effectiveness of breast milk production on the problem of ineffective nursing care
