Abstract
Background: The main trigger for cardiovascular problems is Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS), one of which is STEMI which has acute pain complaints. Pain management with pharmacolytics has a side effect of dependence that causes a sense of alertness by limiting analgesic class drugs, so that non-pharmacological measures can be applied as a combination of interventions to reduce the intensity of the pain scale, one of which is acupressure at the shenmen point to reduce pain intensity in STEMI patients with pain. moderate to severe chest. Research purposes: To explain the analysis of care in st-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients with acute pain nursing problems Method: This research uses descriptive case study method. The subjects of this study were STEMI patients according to the criteria. Nursing Care Outcomes: The nursing diagnosis is acute pain related to physiological injuring agents. Intervention: SLKI Complaints of reduced pain, reduced anxiety, reduced grimacing. SIKI Pain management by observing the location, characteristics, duration, frequency, quality, intensity of pain, providing drug therapy, providing complementary acupressure therapy, monitoring vital signs, monitoring the success of complementary therapy. The implementation carried out by the five patients was acupressure complementary therapy at the shenmen point in STEMI patients, by following the procedure according to the applicable SOP, with a duration of 15 minutes each day for 1x a day for 3 consecutive days. For evaluation based on the five patients who received acupressure therapy experienced a significant reduction in pain. Conclusion: There is an effect of complementary therapy with acupressure at the shenmen point on reducing pain in STEMI patients.
