Abstract
Background: The health of the elderly is the most important thing as an effort to improve the level of health of the elderly. Indonesia's population in 2020, the number of elderly is predicted 11% of the world's 6.9 billion people are elderly. The elderly have physical and psychological problems, one of the physical problems is hypertension. Complaints are often felt by elderly people who experience hypereteni such as hypertension headaches so that it can be controlled by means of pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy. Non-pharmacological treatment that can be given is ginger warm compress therapy. Objective: General purpose to elaborate the results of nursing care analysis on clients with Acute Pain nursing problems in Bejiruyung Village Sempor District of Kebumen Regency. Method: Use descriptive with a case study approach. Case study in 5 patients with cases of headaches in elderly people who have hypertension in Bejiruyung Village Sempor Subdistrict. Results of nursing care: The results of the study in the five elderly hypertension with an average age of years and most of the female sex obtained that all patients experienced acute pain with etiology of physiological changes evidenced by an increase in the pain scale. Given nonpharmacological therapy with the administration of warm compresses of ginger for 7 days carried out in the morning and evening, the five elderly with headaches experienced a decrease in the pain scale after being given ginger warm compress therapy with an average decrease in pain from scale 5 to scale 3. This suggests that ginger warm compress therapy has a significant influence on the reduction of the pain scale in elderly people with hypertension who experience headaches. Recommendation: The results of this study can be a source for puskesmas as a reference for non-pharmacological therapies for headaches in the elderly who have hypertension
