Abstract

Background, Kidney failure is a condition in which the kidneys cannot perform their functions normally. In chronic kidney disease, kidney function will gradually decrease. This decline in kidney function usually occurs for months or years until the kidneys are irreversible or cannot be reused, and until one day they must be replaced or on hemodialysis therapy or kidney transplantation. General Purpose, The purpose of writing a final scientific paper for nurses is to describe the results of nursing care for chronic kidney failure patients with chronic pain nursing problems with deep breathing therapy. Method, This study uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. Descriptive method is an object that is usually used to create or describe a phenomenon or a picture that usually occurs in a population. With the number of samples taken 5 patients with the method of applying deep breath relaxation therapy in CKD patients. Nursing care results, Patients with acute pain nursing problems, deep breath relaxation therapy, namely therapy carried out for 5 minutes 5 cycles (1 cycle of 1 minute consisting of 5 deep breaths with a pause of 2 seconds each breath) which is carried out for 3 times a day for 3 days, and the time is done when the patient experiences acute pain in both chest and headache to maximize ventilation. As a result, the pain felt by the patient is reduced. Recommendations, Health workers can apply to patients, can be a recommendation for the semi-fowler position and deep breathing exercises to reduce acute pain felt by patients in the hospital.
