Abstract
Background: Cancer is a disease caused by the growth of abnormal cells and cannot be controlled. Cancer can occur at any age, anytime and anywhere. Cancer is a leading cause of death and a major obstacle to increasing life expectancy in the 21st century. General purpose: Describe the results of the analysis of nursing care in breast cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy with anxiety nursing problems. Method:This analysis of nursing care uses a descriptive method with a case study approach on five breast cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy with anxiety nursing problems. The nursing care was given for two meetings by providing deep breathing therapy and five finger hypnosis. Anxiety levels were measured using the HARS scale (Hamilton Anxiety Rate Scale. Results:The results of the analysis of nursing care showed that there was a decrease in signs and symptoms of anxiety before and after being given the highest care in K5 patients with a decrease of 72.5% from severe anxiety to moderate anxiety and an increase in the ability to reduce anxiety the highest in K4 patients with a percentage of 0 % to 75%. Conclusion:This analysis of nursing care in breast cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy with anxiety problems by providing nursing care is able to reduce the scale and signs of anxiety symptoms and increase the ability to control anxiety. Recommendation:Nursing actions are effective to reduce the level of anxiety in breast cancer patients.
