Abstract
Background: Angina pectoris is pain in the chest that is caused suddenly due to adequate distribution of oxygen into the heart and results in constriction of blood vessels. Angina Pectoris will cause chest pain, pain that attacks angina sufferers is very disturbing for a person with heart disease. So an effort is needed to be able to reduce the pain he experiences with the use of non-pharmacological therapy. The application of Benson relaxation can be applied to patients with Unstable angina pectoris in reducing the pain they feel. General purpose: To analyze nursing care actions for unstable angina pectoris patients with acute pain through Benson relaxation therapy to reduce the scale of chest pain in the ICU room of RSUD Hj. Anna Lasmanah Banjarnegara. Method: This research uses a descriptive case study design, using Benson's relaxation operational procedures and a pain scale measurement instrument sheet. Using the Numeric Rating Scale pain scale with a value range of 0-10. The number of samples in this study were 5 patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris with acute pain. Nursing care results: A study on patients aged 40-67 years, who experienced Unstable Angina Pectoris with acute pain. Nursing diagnoses that appear are all patients with Unstable Angina Pectoris with acute pain experiencing chest pain. Interventions are carried out for all patients by doing non-pharmacological therapy in the form of Benson relaxation. Evaluation of the five patients found a decrease in the pain scale. Recommendation: There is an effect of Benson's relaxation to reduce pain in unstable angina pectoris patients with acute pain. Benson's relaxation nursing intervention innovation can later be used as a Hospital SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for unstable angina pectoris patients with acute pain nursing problems so that patients can apply Benson relaxation whenever pain arises
