Abstract

Background: Data from the Ministry of Health through the Appendicities disease survey in 15 Provinces of Indonesia in 2014 showed the number of Appendicities patients admitted to hospitals as many as 4,351 cases. This number increased dramatically compared to the previous year, which was 3,236 people. Acute appendicities ranks 4th most commonly in Indonesia after dyspepsia, gastritis and duodenitis, and other gastrointestinal diseases with 28,040 inpatients. Objective: Explain nursing care by providing massage therapy and murotal therapy to postoperative appendicities patients with acute pain nursing problems at Hj. Anna Lasmanah Banjarnegara Hospital Method: The research method is descriptive with a case study approach. The subjects of the case study were 5 adult patients post surgery appendicities with acute pain. The flow in research is the format of nursing care, Nursing Kit, SOP of Massage and Murattal. Nursing Care Results: The results of the study of the five patients had the same main complaint, namely acute pain. The priority nursing diagnosis in 5 patients is acute pain. Nursing interventions that are done to overcome acute pain are pain management. One of the implementations of nursing is a complementary pain reduction method, namely massage therapy and Murattal. Evaluation of the results after this therapy, all five patients showed a decrease in the pain scale. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of SOP pain reduction management with complementary methods of Massage therapy and Murattal in postoperative appendicities patients
