Abstract
Background: A client often gets in understanding the counseling material. Shared decision-making counseling is one of the models used by health-care providers in helping patients to make a decision about health. In giving information about a method of long-term contraception, health workers do by counseling. The instrument frequently used in counseling is flipchart, and leaflet as a supporting instrument. They are used to support the means of information deliery. Because of the rarely use of leaflets, the writer is interested in using that kind of leaflets to support flipchart edia. This media is used in giving counseling so that the clients are more interested in the counseling given. Objective: To use leaflets in family planning decisions, to be able to know the medical condition of the client, to find out the decision of family planning of the clients, and to be able to know the side effects of implant contraceptive. Methods: This scientific paper uses descriptive survey method. In this case the writer describes or depict a phenomenon that occurs in the community, especially Mrs. S, 32 years old. This was conducted from April to May 2016. The assessment was obtained through interviews and direct observation. Results : Leaflets given to Mrs. S can help her understand implant contraceptive. After being given counseling, Mrs. S feels cetain to have implant as the contraceptive. Conclusion: The leaflet can help clients make a decision in choosing implant as her contraceptive.
