Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a degenerative disease, which is a disease due to the function or structure of the tissue that progressively declines over time due to age and lifestyle choices. Type II Diabetes Mellitus can cause chronic complications such as infection. If the infection is left untreated it will cause decay and the infected part will have to be amputated. Foot exercise can help improve blood circulation, strengthen the small muscles of the feet, prevent foot deformities in people with Type II Diabetes Mellitus. Objective: to explain nursing care for the application of foot exercises in patients with type II diabetes mellitus with ineffective peripheral perfusion at PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Methods: The research method is descriptive with a case study approach. The case study subjects to be studied were 5 patients with type II diabetes mellitus with ineffective peripheral perfusion. The tools in this study are the nursing care format, Nursing Kit, SOP for foot exercises. Presentation of data that the author does by drawing conclusions based on subjective and objective data, which is presented in the documentation method and nursing care resume Results: The results of the study showed that the five patients had the same main complaints as weakness, no appetite and shortness of breath. Priority nursing diagnosis in Patients I-V is ineffective peripheral perfusion. The nursing interventions performed were Circulation Care (I.02079), Peripheral Sensation Management (I.06195) and foot exercises. The nursing implementations are Circulation Care (I.02079), Peripheral Sensation Management (I.06195) and foot exercises. The results of the nursing evaluation on the five patients showed a significant decrease in the ABI value and blood sugar value after 5 clients received foot exercise treatment. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of SOPs for the management of ineffective peripheral perfusion with foot exercises
