Abstract

Background: Installation of infusion in children will provide pain in children caused by vein stabbing. The act of infusion can cause pain in children so a method is needed to be able to divert the child's attention to pain. Distraction is one method that can relieve pain by diverting attention to something else. General purpose: To find out nursing care with acute pain problems with the application of youtube cartoon audiovisual distraction in pediatric patients when an infusion is placed in the IGD RSUD Hj. Anna Lasmanah Banjarnegara. Method: this research uses a descriptive case study design, using youtube video distraction and operational procedures for measuring pain with a pain scale measuring instrument sheet with the Face Pain Rating Scale. The number of samples in this study were 5 pediatric patients with infusion. Nursing care results: the assessment of the patient was found to be 4-5 years old, all patients were given infusion, the intervention was carried out to all patients by doing non-pharmacological therapy in the form of youtube video distraction, evaluation of the five patients there was a decrease in pain scale after youtube video distraction, the patient looked more comfortable and there is no resistance during infusion. Recommendation : It is recommended for nurses to be able to carry out nursing care comprehensively in overcoming nursing problems, especially in children during infusion. The youtube video distraction nursing intervention innovation can later be used as a Hospital SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for pediatric patients.
