Abstract
Background: the incidence of delivery by caesarean section in Indonesia reaches 9.8% of the number of deliveries, Sectio caesarea delivery has a side effect of severe pain in the incision area, caused by tearing of tissue in the abdominal wall and uterine wall the first few days after delivery . Pain can cause discomfort in mobilization and other activities. One of the relaxation techniques that can be applied to reduce pain problems is by giving lemongrass aromatherapy by inhalation. Objective: To analyze nursing care on pain nursing problems in post sectio caesarea clients through the application of lemongrass aromatherapy with inhalation techniques at HJ Anna Lasmanah Hospital Banjarnegara. Methods: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 5 post sectio caesarea mothers, who experienced acute pain problems. Data collection with observation, interview and documentation techniques. Results: From the five patients after the inhalation technique of lemongrass aromatherapy, the pain level decreased from moderate to mild pain. Conclusion: The results of the evaluation of the application of the innovative inhalation technique of lemongrass aromatherapy in post sectio caesarea patients were effective in reducing pain levels.
