Abstract
Background: Cardiovascular disease, often known as heart disease. It is caused by impaired function of the heart and blood vessels. Heart attack, also known as AMI (Acute Myocardial Infarct), is a life-threatening condition for patients characterized by the formation of local necrotic areas in the myocardium. One non-pharmacological therapy that nurses can use is to provide Guide Imagery technique therapy or guided therapy to patients with Acute Myocardial Infarct (AMI). Guided imaging technology therapy is a relaxation method or guided imaging used to imagine places and events related to pleasure and relaxation so that patients can enter a state of relaxation experience. Objective: To give nursing care for Acute Myocardial Infarct (AMI) patients with acute pain problem in the intensive care unit of RSUD Banjarnegara Results: After respondents got nursing care three times a day for the five patients, they showed their pain levels changed to mild pain. Pain sensation was measured by the Numeric Rating Scale from a pain scale of 6 to a scale of 3 with an average value of decrease. Recommendation: Nurses are expected to be able to provide a combination of both pharmacology and non-pharmacology such as Benson relaxation measures, namely murottal Qur'an, five-finger hypnosis, or other therapies, to treat acute pain in Acute Myocardial Infarct (AMI) patients.
