Abstract

Background, Based on World Health Organization incident cancer breast worldwide reached 2.1 million and for number death in women because cancer as many as 627,000 inhabitants. While in Indonesia it reaches 42.1%. Quality life is something feeling someone in it covers well-being by physical, psychological, and social. Objectives, Find Out description quality live in patients cancer breast at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Margono Soekarno Purwokerto. Methods, Research this used method quantitative approach cross-sectional. The sample used technique purposive sampling and cousist of 98 respondents. data retrieval using QLQ BR- 23 questionnaire. Results, Quality of life of respondents with breast cancer based on the results viewed from the functional scale, it was found that the average body image was 45.92 with a 95% confidence value 45.37 - 46.47, sexual function 43.57 with a 95% confidence value 42.81 - 44.33, Sexual Enjoyment 33.03 with a value of 95% confidence 32.44 – 33.62, Future Perspective 31.74 with 95% confidence value, 30.89 – 32.60. While the quality of life of respondents with breast cancer based on the results in terms of the symptom scale, it was found that the average side effect of therapy was 32.84 with a 95% confidence value 32.84 - 33.39, Breast symptoms 27.34 with a 95% confidence value 26.77 - 27.90, Arm symptoms 30.68 with a value of 95% confidence 29.95 – 31.42, Hair loss 26.56 with 95% confidence value 25.59 – 27.43. Conclusion, The quality of life of breast cancer patients is mostly in the moderate category. Recommendation, For further researchers, it is possible to use family support variables and community environmental responses in cancer patients that can affect the quality of life.
