Abstract

Background : Breast milk (ASI) is the best food for babies and the only food needed by newborns or the first six months. Exclusive breastfeeding for infants is an important activity in child care and preparation for future generations. Research Objectives: To describe the mother's level of knowledge about the application of husband's support to the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Petir Village, Purwanegara District, Banjarnegara Regency. Method: The method in this research is to use an approach that is descriptive method. Because the researcher emphasizes the time of measurement/observation of data on the independent and dependent variables. Result: after 3 times health education, the respondent's level of improvement increased from the poor category to the good category. Conclusion: health education about exclusive breastfeeding has been proven to increase respondents' knowledge as evidenced by filling out questionnaires before and after health education. Recommendation: future researchers can develop the application of husband's support to the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding.
