Abstract

Background: Sectio caesarea is a surgical procedure performed by slashing the mother's abdomen to remove the fetus from the uterus. Most clients with an indication of Sectio caesarea experience pain afterward. The pain felt is the discomfort caused by the incision wound experienced by Sectio caesarea patients. This must be handled immediately by the nurse for the convenience of the patient. Objective : To describe nursing care for clients by applying Guided Imagery Music therapy to reduce post-Section Caesarea pain at Purwogondo General Hospital. Research Methods: This type of scientific paper is in the form of a case study with 3 respondents in the post-partum SC mother at RSU Purwogondo which was carried out for 3 days. To determine the level of pain reduction, an assessment was carried out using the NRS scale and documented on the observation sheet. Case Study Results: After being given guided imagery music therapy for 3 days, the pain scale of post SC patients decreased. Client 1 from a scale of 7 to 3, on client 2 there was a decrease from 8 to 3, while client 3 experienced a decrease from a scale of 8 to 2. Conclusion: The application of guided imagery music therapy can reduce pain in post SC patients.
