Abstract

Background: Arthritis gout is a metabolic disease caused by the accumulation of monosodium crystals in joints. Typical symptoms that often arise are joint pain. If pain is not treated it will cause various problems such as physical disorders. So the importance of nursing care to reduce pain in patients with gout arthritis. Objective: To provided an overview of nursing cared in gouty arthritis patients with warm compress therapy to reduced pain. Methods: This method used nursing care with warm compress therapy for 3 meetings with a time of 20 minutes to 3 clients. The type of research was descriptive method, with a case study approach. The data obtained are through interviews, observation and documetation. This study consisted of 3 respondents who suffered from gouty arhritis and met the inclusion criteria. Results: After applied for 3 time in a row, each respondent experienced a very effective decreased. Recommendation: For the reduced pain in arthritis gout patients with warm compress therapy.
